Visit the Anchorage Main Center located at 4000 Laurel Street
between 12pm and 5pm on Friday, May 18 to join the registry!
The first ten people will be able to register at no charge.
Afterwards, registration will be $25 per person (normally

Alaska High School Blood Drive Challenge Update
The FINAL results of the 2006/07 Alaska High School Blood Drive
Challenge are in! Congratulations to the winning schools in
each class category and to every school that participated. This
is one challenge in which every participating blood donor is
a winner with the end result of saving lives! Trophies will
be presented to each winning school and a permanent wall plaque
will be on display at each blood center throughout the state.

The winners in each class category are:
Class I (0-499 total
population)
1st Place: Houston High School - 258 blood donors!
2nd Place: King Career Center - 126 blood donors!
3rd Place: Ben Eielson High School - 81 blood donors!
Class II (500-999
total population)
1st Place: Palmer High School - 166 blood donors!
2nd Place: Homer High School - 135 blood donors!
3rd Place: Soldotna High School - 49 blood donors!
Class III (1000 or
more total population)
1st Place: South High School - 194 blood donors!
2nd Place: Bartlett High School - 180 blood donors!
3rd Place: East High School - 148 blood donors!
