The Blood Bank of Alaska is committed to providing
the blood product needs of all individuals in the state. Our donors
are volunteers who give the “Gift of Life” freely. In
return, we charge the receiving hospitals
only for the processing and delivery charges, not for the blood
products themselves. Although our revenue keeps up with our normal
operating expenditures, we have an ongoing need of funding to provide
for:
- New more efficient equipment
- Collection vehicles for better mobile
blood drives
- Expanding our operation to meet the changing
industry standards and requirements

Combined Federal Campaign
The Blood Bank of Alaska is part of the Combined Federal Employees
Campaign for 2007.
What is the Combined Federal Campaign?
The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is an organized program
through which federal employees can give to charitable organizations.
Federal employees are those individuals in the military, civilian
federal agency, and US Postal Service.
Whom does it serve?
The CFC serves you, the federal employee, as a giving vehicle
through which payroll deduction gifts are sent to the charity
of your choice. It also serves over 2200 charitable organizations
as a cost-effective means of receiving important funds to provide
services to their clients.
Why is there a CFC?
The CFC was established as a once-a-year workplace giving program
to serve the charitable giving needs of federal employees.
Who receives your contribution?
You choose which charitable organization(s) receive your donation.
There are over 2200 and the Blood Bank of Alaska is eligible
to receive contribution with the new Five-Digit Code
- 31150. If you are a federal employee and would like
your gift to be received by the Blood Bank of Alaska, please
use this code on the pledge form.
