YOU a HERO donor?
Donate 4 times in a calendar year and you too can be an annual member
of the HERO program. For example – 2007 HERO donors
are blood donors who donated at least 4 times during 2006. Each
January, a data report is generated of donors who donated a minimum
of 4 times the previous year. Those donors will then receive 25
HERO points per donation and those names will be added to the website
making it convenient to redeem points for HERO merchandise.
HERO Program - Become a HERO donor!
The HERO program is an exclusive membership given to blood donors
who donate whole blood at least four times in a calendar year. Currently
only 15% of our blood donors are eligible for the HERO Program.
HERO donors are eligible for special prizes, fun promotions, and
bi-weekly drawings that include gift certificates donated from local
businesses. This is an evolving program that has been growing each
year!
A-List Hero Program – Become an A-List
HERO donor!
The A-List HERO program is an exclusive membership given to apheresis
donors who have donated apheresis at least 10 or more times the
previous year. This new program was specially designed to thank
our Automated Blood Collection
donors. Apheresis is a special kind of donation that allows a donor
to give specific blood components, such as platelets, plasma, or
red blood cells. Additionally, local businesses offer gift certificates
to apheresis donors once they hit a certain number of donations
in the current year.
HERO & A-List HERO Merchandise – Wear
them with pride!
Donors who qualify for the HERO or A-List HERO program may now
view their earned HERO points online using our HERO search database!
HERO points no longer expire, so they may be saved and redeemed
anytime. Donors may redeem their points for unique merchandise
such as: books; travel mugs; hats; shirts; throw blankets; fleece
vests and jackets. (Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery or pick-up).
There are two convenient ways for HERO donors to redeem their
points:
1. Visit any Blood Bank of Alaska center and fill
out the HERO envelope order forms that are provided and drop them
off
in the
specified HERO box,
OR
2. Use our online HERO
Merchandise Order Form, or A-List
HERO Merchandise Order Form. Fill it out completely and just
press the SUBMIT button. It's that simple!

3. If you brought a HERO Merchandise Order Form
with you after donating blood and decide to fill it out at home,
feel free to mail it to:

The rules are simple and open to all HERO blood donors! Be creative
