POSTER ADVERTISING
Posters are traditional and highly effective promotional tools. Place them everywhere people are most likely to see them, including classrooms. Remember to choose highly visible areas with lots of foot-traffic as well as gathering areas.

E-MAIL ADVERTISING
E-mail advertising is a simple and cost effective way to educate and promote your blood drive to potential blood donors. Nearly everyone has E-mail and this makes it a great tool to use as a reminder for students to bring their photo I.D., to eat a good meal, and to make sure they remember to bring their signed parental consent form.

TABLE-TENTS
Table-Tents are a great promotional tool to place on tables in the cafeteria, the library, counters, etc. Use them to promote your blood drive whenever possible.

BROCHURES and HANDOUTS
Brochures and handouts are great informative tools to give potential donors ahead of time whether they sign-up to donate or not. By reading up on the information provided, they will be better informed about the importance of donating blood, be better prepared for it and will most likely sign-up the next time they are asked.

VIDEO and/or DVD PRESENTATION
The My Blood, Your Blood video and Blood Bank of Alaska commercials are available for presentation in classrooms. Use the :15 or :30 commercial as an introduction before asking students in the class if they would be willing to sign-up and donate blood. Use the My Blood, Your Blood video as an educational tool about blood.

APPOINTMENT REMINDER CARDS
Appointment Reminder Cards are a great tool to remind donors of the time and date they signed-up for at your blood drive. Be sure to give every donor that signs up an Appointment Reminder Card.
