Once again Blood Bank of Alaska is a partner with The Iditarod. This year marks a special milestone as we commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Nome Serum Drive in 1925. Blood Bank of Alaska will host a mobile blood drive at the ceremonial start in downtown Anchorage on March 1st, 2025. Donors can donate at the blood drive or at a center starting March 1, 2025 to receive a t-shirt.
Unique to this year’s event is the addition of an online store where the shirt can be purchased for those that are unable to donate blood at the mobile drive or at a center. All proceeds raised from the sale of shirts go directly to the mission of Blood Bank of Alaska.
