Donors Previously Deferred May Be Able to Donate Again

Updated guidances from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for certain donors who were previously deferred

Due to updated guidances from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), certain donors who were previously deferred (informed they cannot donate blood) may be eligible to become blood donors again.

If you were previously deferred for any of the following:

  • Living in Europe;
  • Being associated with certain overseas U.S. military bases;
  • Certain other indefinite/permanent deferrals
