High School Drives

Why should you get involved?

  • Blood Bank of Alaska is the only blood bank in Alaska.
  • Our community depends on blood donations to maintain the blood supply.
  • In Alaska, you can begin donating blood at the age of 16 (with signed parental consent).
  • Donating blood is an easy way to make a difference.

Getting Started:

  1. Contact mobile collections to find out when a scheduled drive is at your school (907) 222-5630 or ask the school administrator.
  2. Find out who the designated Drive Chair is and see how you can help.
  3. Advocate and spread the word. The more students that participate, the more lives can be saved.
  4. 16 and 17 year olds may donate with signed parental consent – download the form here.
